The month of December has just arrived  and in spite of the cold the city of Lisbon doesn’t put aside the joy on its streets. The Christmas lights already shine and the city is prepared to receive more events and special festivities dedicated to this season. The 85 thousand LED lamps already shine on Lisbon’s streets and it is promissed a videomapping show in Fonte Luminosa in Alameda.  You can’t miss, for sure, the several Christmas markets across the city which show a diversity of national products.

You can’t miss the several Classical music concerts in several churches and theaters in the city. On 7th December there’s a performance of the Camerata Atlântica in  Santo António church which will give us themes and variations of Sain Anthony choral. On 10th of December at 4 pm you have a concert in São Roque church with the Symphonic and Juvenile choirs of Lisboa Cantat and two hours later, you can go to another concert nearby in the beautiful  São Luiz theatre and listen to the Académica Metropolitana orchestra well accompanied by the choir of Nova university.

The Hindu community of Lisbon will open its doors for a special Christmas celebration. Besides the guiding visits at the Radha Krishna temple, the event also includes a party, Bollywood dancing style, ballon modelling and Indian gastronomy.

The New Year’s eve in Lisbon won’t be just for one day but three and as a tradition it will have music concerts in the Praça do Comércio square. On 29th of December we will get to see the fado singer Ana Moura, on 30th of December the sounds from Africa will arrive by the voices of Lura and Bonga and on 31st of December we will have pure soul with Marta Ren & The Groovelvets. The music ends before the fireworks with rock made by the Portuguese band Capitão Fausto.
