Sunday was the chosen day for new discoveries in Seixal’s bay. A lovely stroll on the river bank with several pleasant surprises and one proposal to go Fora da Rota (Out of the Route) and so closed to Lisbon.

It only takes you 15 minutes by boat, from Cais do Sodré, to set your feet in the city of Seixal, another place not so much explored, on the south margin of Tagus river. We have mentioned ”another place”, as we have already showed you pictures of another lovely place. Just take a look here.

Seixal is the same as a slow stroll by the bay, and also take us directly to small enchantments: a well preserved historical centre with colourful houses, a fabulous garden at Quinta da Fidalga and the interesting Naval Museum with a curious exhibition of miniature boats. In the historical centre you will find Mr. Eduardo Palaio’s sympathy who shows you with enthusiasm and proud his typography. It is worth a visit.

We still have time to go back there and enjoy the summer in the city with a boat tour, birdwatching and finally, flavouring grilled fish, making our taste buds really happy. Meanwhile, the warm weather hasn’t arrived yet and so we can’t much planning, but spring has already welcomed us and Seixal shows us this small charms which make us come back over and over again. See you soon!
