Giro LX - Mouraria, Graça and Alfama

Find the most charming neighbourhoods in the city
What’s a ‘’giro’’? Giro in Portuguese can be a very typical Portuguese expression which means cute, but it also can be a perfect spin. We begin our tour in Lisbon’s downtown and end on the same spot, with many stories in between, about the oldest and most charming neighbourhoods of the city. Stories about an hearthquake, the city’s reconstruction, the persecutions, the multicultural Mouraria and its love with fado shared by its rival Alfama. Then we will visit the charming Graça and its sightseeing places. We go down Sao Vicente to Alfama and finally hear a story of the most popular saint in town.
